First Timers

Welcome, FitCo First Timer!

Whether you’re brand new to working out or just new to our studio, here’s everything you need to know before your first class. No matter which class you choose, know that every workout is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels. Whether you want to focus on strength, cardio, or recovery, you’ll be in good hands. 

Tips for Your First Class

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early: We’ll give you a quick tour and help you get set up.
  • Parking: Heading North on York St, turn right (East) on 39th Street. Our studio is in the first building of the York Street Yards and our entrance faces North, overlooking the bike path. Free parking is available throughout the York Street Yards complex and on the North side of 39th Street. 
  • What to bring: Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a water bottle. We’ll provide all the equipment you need for the class.
    • For Barre and Yoga classes, you might want to bring grip socks. We provide mats but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
    • For all other classes, wear athletic shoes. We’ll provide all the other equipment you need for the class. Don’t forget your water bottle!
  • Check-in process: Say hello at the front desk, and we’ll take it from there. If you can, sign your electronic waiver beforehand to speed up check in. 
  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before class.
  • Ask questions: Our instructors are here to help. Don’t hesitate to ask for modifications or assistance.
  • Have fun!: You’re here to move, sweat, and enjoy yourself! Focus on what feels right for your body.

1. Do I need to be fit to join a class?

Not at all! Our classes are designed for all fitness levels, and our instructors will offer modifications throughout to meet your needs.

Absolutely! We encourage you to explore different class formats to find what works best for you.

3. What if I’m running late?

We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your first class. If you’re running late, give us a call, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
